Hey Y'all!

I'm Amanda- the heart, soul, and hands behind Cashmere & Whiskey.

While most people begin their adult journey at 18, mine took a different path.  At 18, I was diagnosed with Graves' disease, and autoimmune disorder that flipped my would upside down.  After undergoing radioactive iodine treatment, I faced another heartbreak a couple months later - an ectopic miscarriage that required emergency surgery.  Making that two life threatening events at the age of 18.

At 22, I became a mom for the first time to one of my three incredible kids.  I married my childhood crush, and we built a life together in a quiet Kansas town.  I dreamt of opening a boutique, but life had other plans.

By 30, I found myself a widow and single mom of three little ones, ages 8, 6, and 4.  My dream had to wait.  My kids needed me more than ever, and I poured everything I had into being the mom they deserved.

The years that followed were a mix of fighting through chronic illness, career changes, and searching for something that truly felt like me.  I often felt like my only purpose was motherhood, and while that's the most important role I've ever had, I longed for something more - something for me.

Fast forward to today.  I'm nearly 40 (how did that happen!), my kids are growing up - my oldest is about to graduate high school - and I finally said, it's now or never.  With the support of my boyfriend, I decided to chase the dream I once shelved.

In quiet moments and behind the scenes, I poured myself into creating Cashmere & Whiskey.  I didn't know exactly how to start a business, but I researched, learned, and made it happen - legally and authentically.

I kept it a secret at first, not out of fear, but to prove to myself that I could follow through on something that was just mine.

My mission is simple; to remind women that it's never too late and you're never too old to chase your dreams.  I've always had a passion for fun, bold, and unique clothing and accessories - and I can't wait to share it all with you.  Thank you for being here and for supporting this dream.
